Randy Fiorini, Chairman

California Cling Peach Board
A third-generation Cling Peach grower, Randy Fiorini was born and raised on the family's farm in Turlock, California and currently serves as Managing Partner of Fiorini Ranch, a farming company which produces Cling Peaches, winegrapes and almonds in Merced and Stanislaus Counties. Fiorini also owns Farm Data, a tech company specializing in the sales and support of computer software customized for the agri-business community.

Nominated and elected in 1996 as the first Chairman of the current Cling Peach Board at the age of 43, Fiorini was the youngest Chairman in the Board's history and is currently serving his second three-year term. Representing nearly 700 growers and seven processors of Cling Peaches in California, Fiorini's responsibilities are substantial. Working closely with Board management to insure that goals and objectives are met, he regularly represents the industry as a spokesman and advocate and has testified before the International Trade Commission regarding government trade policies to the horticultural sector.

With a cumulative dedication passed through the years by his father and his grandfather, Fiorini's passion extends far beyond that of your typical businessman. Part lobbyist, part community leader, part industry visionary, Fiorini currently serves as Chairman, President, Director, or participates as an active member of ten different organizations and charities ranging from the California Cling Peach Board to the California Farm Water Coalition, to Hope Unlimited International and the Livingston Rotary. Most recently Fiorini was appointed to the Fruits and Vegetables Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade (ATAC). As a committee member, he will be called upon to provide information and advice relating to U.S. agricultural trade policies. When not growing Cling Peaches, or attempting to save Cling Peaches from extinction (the industry is in jeopardy due to the European Union's subsidized product), Fiorini works with the USDA and other forward-thinkers to re-invent the Cling Peach industry and tirelessly searches for new and consumer-friendly Cling Peach products.

Fiorini's father, Forest Fiorini, is the source of his inspiration, as was his father's father. In addition to his love of farming, the senior Fiorini also passed down the love of flying to his son. Acting as "co-pilot" from the time he was old enough to be strapped into a cockpit seat, Fiorini, a flying enthusiast, is passing these family traditions to his son, Jay, who has his Bachelor of Arts in Pomology and and joined Fiorini Ranch as a partner. Farming and food are a family affair at the Fiorini household. Randy's wife, Lori, is currently working on a peach cookbook that will feature family recipes, stories and photos; their daughter Cari, who holds a Masters Degree in Food Science, currently works for General Mills in Minneapolis; and her sister, Stacy, is currently majoring in Agricultural Business at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. All five family members attended Cal Poly.
